G.Y.'s Character Idea: Master Chief

Yes that's right, Master Chief of Halo fame!

Standard Special: Needler (Iconic weapon, and my personal favorite; also not a too realistic weapon)
Side Special: Energy Sword Melee (Self-explanitory)
Up Special: IDK. Anyone got any ideas? Preferably not a vehicle.
Down Special: Plasma Grenade (Tosses it, and it works like a Gooey Bomb, except it DOESN'T come off.)
Super Nuke: Spartan Laser (Takes a few second to charge, then BAM!)

Entrance: Comes in on a Warthog.
Taunt: Teabagging (had to include this somewhere)

Symbol: The "o" in the Halo title.

well as long as he does not have any bloody attacks or any deadly attacks that can tear your head off.

Up-B can be a grenade jump. Hehehe....

Here's my alternate move-set:


Up Special - Maybe the jet packs the Brutes have? Surely spartans can use them too!
Side Special - Grenade. I like the sword idea, but he needs a Plasma Grenade or something.
Down Special - Either Trip Mine (Plants a Mine similar to Snake's Down Smash) or Bubble sheild, but it wouldn't make sense, seeing as in halo it lasts for like.. a minute, and it would only last for a second in SNBM.
Standard Special - Now, I know the Needler is all well and good, but the Assault Rifle is his iconic weapon. I can only picture him constantly holding that weapon if he were in the game. In this case, I think the B move should be a rapid spray of very weak bullets from this weapon. Similar to Fox's gun, it wouldn't flinch the enemy.

Side Smash - Pretty obvious. The B Move smash!

Entrance - Pelican drops him off!

Taunt - Pulls out telegram thing of Cortana, looks at her, and nods, as though she told him something or whatever.

Super Nuke: Indeed, pulls out a Spartan laser, and BAM! Like Samus's move, really.

Just some alternate ideas. I like yours too, GY.

The Assault Rifle is good too. Maybe instead of my Plasma Grenade Down Special, he uses the Assault Rifle! (That way Kirby can use the Needler, which would be cute.)

And maybe a Gravity Lift for Up Special, or am I thinking of another game?

And Forward Smash: Gravity Hammer.

Yeah, he also played it on Xbox live, he also played Halo 3 ODST, one time before Halo 3 ODST was out, he made me play it with him

Ah. Well, if I ever get a 360 remind me not to go against him. (I suck.)

It's just that, Master Chief is obviously overrated, people call him epic, and such. I just can't see him in a smash bros. game. But then again, he isn't going to be in SSF2 in any form. THAT'S JUST ME, ok?

Although the main problem with Master Chief is that Halo is a series that has NOT been on Nintendo. Therefore, Master Chief has never been on a Nintendo system.
But, there are counters against this:
1. Halo DS was being worked on, but was scrapped because Bungie was not allowed by Microsoft to use the liscense on the DS. (Shame too, as it looked like it was going to be the best DS game of all time...)
2. Bungie left Microsoft, so they COULD work with Nintendo if they wanted. (Halo Wii, perhaps?)
3. This is NOT an official Smash Bros., so it is up to the developers' decisions, not Nintendo's.
4. Cloud is an example, as he was never on a Nintendo system, save for Kingdom Hearts, which is NOT his main series.
5. Master Chief is considered one of the most famous video game characters, like Mario and Sonic.

I seem to be getting into a bit of fanboyism here, sorry. And that's ironic, since I don't own an Xbox or a 360 and rarely do I play the Halo games...

I've always pictured playing as MC in a smash bros. type game.

As for what was said previously about not being able to picture him in a fighting game like this; could you really imagine Peach beating the crap out of Bowser? Well, that happens in Smash bros, more often than not (at least from what I've seen). Suddenly, it seems a little more normal to picture MC shooting the crap out of Mario, eh?

And yes, Side Smash Grav Hammer would work. It'd be more of a knockback move, I'd say.

I picture it to be like King Dedede's Side Smash in a way.

How about the Tbag be saved for one of the victory taunts? Like, "This games winner is:" "TBAG TBAG TBAG TBAG (shouted from a Halo Player with the muzzled sound of the mic)" "Master Chief!(from announcer)"

I can't honestly not say that I don't dislike the idea.

NEW IDEA FOR DOWN B!

The ARMOR LOCK from Halo Reach!

It's a 'different' version of the bubble shield. It basically activates simultaneously, bringing your Spartan into a crouching position, and lasts for only a moment. All damage with reflect off of it, and apparently, if you melee attack someone while it's activated, the damage is reversed back to you. So yah.. I suppose it'd work like Lucario/Marth's down B's.

Here's a description I read about it:

"Armor lock is the new version of the bubble shield. Activating the ability gives you momentary invincibility. But as you can see (picture below), your Spartan crouches down and while the ability is activated he cannot move, aim, or shoot. You can do this up to three times one charge and it only lasts a moment. You can also choose to hold down the ability's button which will generate a small EMP blast depending on how long you hold it (I like the sound of that). Plasma grenades and Needles will bounce off of you when the Lock is activated."




EDIT: And yes, the Jetpack was added in Halo Reach. Thus, we have a new idea for the Up B.
