Item idea thread

Here's a picture of the Chance Cube.

It has 6 sides on it,and the way to activate it would be just attacking it.

Oh, those things.
You hit it then whatever is on top, the chance box turns into it. It is usually a 1-up or a starbit. You could make that work pretty easy, just replace the 1-up and the starbit pictures with items from in Super Nuke Bros. Melee, and hit it, it spins, the item that it lands on comes out.

I forgot something.This item comes with the Starship Mario stage,so this is also unlockable.

Maybe instead of the chance cube... they could add the random box from Mario Kart!

You hit it, and next to your icon where the item you're currently holding appears, you'll see a lottery type thing displaying different Nuke items, obviously like that of which in Mario Kart. Whatever it lands on is the item you get.

It also just breaks and does nothing if you're already holding something.

Here are some Kart items!
Lightning Cloud: It does the same thing in Mario Kart Wii,you can pass it on to someone else by hitting them,your speed increases slightly,but you only have 10 seconds before it shrinks you.
Lightning: It does the same from Mario Kart and Brawl.
Red Shell:I think we all know what this does.
Banana Peel:It will have the same design from Mario Kart,but will do the same thing it does in Brawl.

High Speed Shoe:You'll become faster for a limited time.
I'm starting to run out of item ideas,but I still got some!

The Dice Block from the Mario Party series.
Not excatly sure what this would do,or if it will be featured in a stage.

Item idea: Laser Chainsaw.
From: Kirby Right Back at Ya! (anime)
Description: A chainsaw that uses a beam of light like a lightsaber. Pressing the attack button will make the user swing it like a Hammer, but only once per button press. Running while using the attack button will make the user do a side slice.
Damage and knockback are good (not as good as a Hammer), but it's on the slower, predictable side.

One thing,what's wrong with exclusive items?

It doesn't make sense. Having items on the field that only certain characters can use is not a good idea. That's like saying only Mario or Luigi can use Mushrooms. Or Kirby being the only one who could use the Warp Star or Dragoon. It would give characters an unfair advantage.

Unless all the items the characters could use were the same... but that is no fun at all.

When I hear "Exclusive Items", I think of items that only appear on certain stages, like the Vegetables in Summit, or those discs in Distant Planet.

Ok,the gems will be an item,but where are they gonna be placed for the people who don't have shoes(ex.Pikachu,DK,Bowser,Meowth)?

You don't know if the gems will be an item or not.

Now THOSE make sense. Stage specific items are good.

As for your "gem" question, smartguy: How about, instead of appearing at the shoes, it gives the character a light blue aura, and makes them move faster when running or attacking.

Blue Gem:Speed increases for 15 seconds.
Red Gem:Slows down everyone except the wielder.
Green Gem:Summons a tornado(this isn't my final idea for this gem.).
Yellow Gem:Same properties as the Lightning Shield,but doesn't disappear if underwater.
Sky Gem:Same as the game(this idea will change).
Purple Gem:Same as the game.
White Gem:Lets you use your up special twice.
Tell me what you think they should do.

i have an idea for an item,its called a copycat,when you activated/pick it up it will turn into your character,it will last for about 20 sec,the clone is basicly on your team and is COPYCAT what ever moves you do it does it will attack the person your attacking,also the clone does not take damage but can be hit by opponents,you are controling the clone,would it be better if it was an asstinate trophy,normal item,or from a pokeball(ditto)

Ditto was already attempted in SSB Melee, but removed after the Beta testing proved a lot of glitches from it. I think we already covered it in the other topic.

Different colored gems=Chaos Emeralds

The Emeralds NEVER give out any of those effects. They only amplify the users inner Chaos abilities. And if all 7 are collected the user can go into a Super Form, but only if they have a powerful inner Chaos. Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver are prime examples. Tails isn't. He needed the Super Emeralds (which I wish never existed, and I'm glad they don't appear anymore) to turn SUPER, whereas Sonic and Knuckles used them to turn HYPER. Besides, Sonic already uses them for his Super Nuke. It wouldn't make sense to have them as items as well.

And once again, an item that only certain characters can use is a horrible idea. (Referring to the "White Gem".)
