I never mentioned Earthbound either, I was talking about Mario, Zelda, Gyromite and Pokémon (in that order, even).

Character lists have been mentioned. How much room is there exactly for more characters? Should we all be suggesting familiar faces like crazy to be added, or are there only two or three slots open? I don't want to start making new threads for different suggestions if they're not needed, hahaha.

Try not to think of it in terms of slots. We didn't choose our characters by picking a number and filling up slots. We started with a massive list of characters that could work and cut it down. There are still many we haven't yet considered though, so any suggestions are welcome.

Two characters that I think should be in the game are Pit and Pokemon Trainer.
They rule!

Issac/Felix, and Viewtiful Joe that is if you're willing to leave nintendo. Klonoa might also be a cool choice. Maybe Neku from TWEWY

Oh and roy. Lots of roy. And amybe some Ephraim/Sothe action. Lyn as a female FE rep would be great.

If we could get either paula, kumatora, or duster in this it'd be great.

The only other suggestion I have in mind is Lion from tales of destiny but thats me bing biased. It'd make sense to have stahn first but w/e. But you are interested you say?

And eh I find Tales of SYmphonia a bit overated though it is a great game.

REgarding OCs. I wouldn't put them in personally because all it really brings is hatred from people who believe other characters should take their place. Blade and Blue from super smash flash are a great example. However Cleod won't allow them to be removed -_-

Oh I've never played disgaea but I know a badass character everyone seems to like from there is etna or something like that. And I know there are always lenneth, Valkryie, and KOS-MOS fans(female reps). Soma and Reiji would also be cool characters to play as.And if you guys end upp using square enix characters more specifically final fantasy I'd like to see Zack instead of Cloud but eh. I would also love to see Vaati. SSB needs more villians anyway.

they kinda just repel me.

They also spawn the most annoying weeabos on this side of the earth.

I like most square characters. A good chunk are overrated though.
edit: SHanoa from Castlevania? Goemon? Vaati? Fayt from star ocean? And Vjoe again. Zero.
Megaman X, Megaman X and more megaman x. Sigma and more sigma and more zero.
edit2: Scizor/scyther are just cool pokemon.
